New Oil Tank Installation and oil tank removal. O M Hines Ltd received a call from a local customer. Upon inspection of the tank we firstly identified that the tank was old and in fact a single skin oil tank and was showing signs of wear and tear. Single skin oil tanks in poor condition can become unsafe very quickly resulting in an oil spill. We recommended that the old tank should be replaced with a modern bunded tank and the customer was very happy with this suggestion.
O M Hines constructed a new stand to allow for the correct height to feed the customers existing AGA. We also installed a new Apollo Gauge so the customer can monitor the oil levels from within the house. O M Hines cut the tank up on site and then disposed of it correctly. All hazardous waste was taken to a licensed centre and no oil was spilt on site.
Before we carried out the new oil tank installation the customer was having ongoing issues with the existing AGA. The issues with the AGA have now been resolved and our customer is very happy with our engineers work whilst on site and the finished installation – “Speedy and great work, many thanks”.
