OIL TANK REMOVAL – SOMERSET

O M Hines Ltd plastic redundant oil tank removal, Durston, Somerset. 

We received a call from Mr S from Somerset who was converting from Oil to LPG.  Mr S was told that the dormant tank should be removed.  We were able to accurately quote for the job via email with pictures provided by Mr S so we could prepare.  Once on site we carefully removed the redundant oil tank and waste oil.  We cut up the tank on site and then disposed of it correctly.  All hazardous waste was taken to a licensed centre and no oil was spilt on site.

Tank Installation 

New Oil Tank Installation and oil tank removal. O M Hines Ltd received a call from a local customer. Upon inspection of the tank we firstly identified that the tank was old and in fact a single skin oil tank and was showing signs of wear and tear. Single skin oil tanks in poor condition can become unsafe very quickly resulting in an oil spill.  We recommended that the old tank should be replaced with a modern bunded tank and the customer was very happy with this suggestion.

O M Hines constructed a new stand to allow for the correct height to feed the customers existing AGA. We also installed a new Apollo Gauge so the customer can monitor the oil levels from within the house. O M Hines cut the tank up on site and then disposed of it correctly.  All hazardous waste was taken to a licensed centre and no oil was spilt on site.

Before we carried out the new oil tank installation the customer was having ongoing issues with the existing AGA.  The issues with the AGA have now been resolved and our customer is very happy with our engineers work whilst on site and the finished installation – “Speedy and great work, many thanks”.

Tank Installation

Oil Tank Installation. O M Hines Ltd received a call from Mrs C from Taunton, Somerset who needed to upgrade her existing tank.  The tank was showing signs of cracks on top and had years of sludge. We could see that the tank was located on a bank and incorrectly supported which was also visually unattractive. So we removed and disposed of the old tank, created a solid concrete base and retaining wall. As discussed with the customer we also decided to increase the size of the new tank to take advantage of the current low oil prices.  O M Hines put in place a temporary tank to allow the customers boiler to carry on working. The tank was cut up on site and then disposed of correctly. All hazardous waste was taken to a licensed centre and no oil was spilt on site. All completed within 4 days.

TANK REMOVAL – TAUNTON

O M Hines Ltd Old Steel Oil Tank Removal Taunton, Somerset.We received a call from Mr M from Taunton who was converting from Oil to Gas. He wanted his oil tank removed. O M Hines were told that access was very tight and could be an issue.  So we carried out an initial site visit so we could prepare for the job.  On the return visit we then removed the steel oil tank and waste oil.  The tank was cut up on site and then disposed of correctly. All hazardous waste was taken to a licensed centre and no oil was spilt on site.

Tank Installation

New Oil Tank Installation.  We received a call from Mrs G from Somerset wanting to replace her existing Black Steel Oil Tanks. So O M Hines discussed all options and how Mrs G wanted the tanks to look. This was very important to her so we even had the tanks sprayed black to match the property.  O M Hines removed existing steel oil tanks and replaced with new bunded oil tanks that meet with all current regulations.This includes OFTEC. 

Mrs G was so very pleased with the work we carried out and the end result.

We are currently installing a full plumbing and heat system into a new large 5 bedroom development in Taunton. (Just completed phase 1 all hidden pipework / underfloor heating/soil stacks / gas main)

We received a call from Mr & Mrs Wagg (Langport), inquiring about a new oil tank Installation. We removed an existing metal signal skinned tank which was showing early signs of corrosion and replaced it with a new modern plastic bunded oil tank in a new location that meets all current regulations.
